- Whole-class ‘On the Mat’ lesson – demonstrating explicit teaching supported by resources such as lesson presentation slides.
- Small group and independent activities – highlighting teacher-led small group reading and a range of engaging activities available in a single lesson, such as grab bag sentence writing and activity sheets.
- Shared Storybook lesson – featuring a read through of Creatures with Features: Shuffle, Bound, Leap and other wild moves, guided questions and vocabulary reinforcement techniques.
